Moving can feel completely overwhelming, and I say that from personal experience. Over the past couple of weeks, my family and I have been under contract on our old home, found a new one, and have been living out of boxes ever since. It’s been hectic and exhausting, but I know in the end, it will all be worth it.

Moving helped me understand my clients better. As a realtor, I believe every agent should experience moving firsthand. It gives us a deeper understanding of the stress, preparation, and decisions clients face. From getting the home ready for showings to being available at a moment’s notice, each part of the process is a challenge.

The truth is, moving is rarely easy. But even with all the chaos, I can say with confidence that it’s absolutely worth it. I’m looking forward to settling into our new space and starting fresh in a home that better suits the season of life we’re in now.

Why we decided to rightsize. My husband and I are empty nesters, and we recently realized our house was just more space than we really needed. Our priorities have changed, and we want to travel more and spend less time dealing with a big yard and all the upkeep. That’s why we decided to rightsize to a smaller home. It still has everything that matters to us, but gives us a little more freedom and a lot less to worry about.
